EGR Solutions

In internal combustion engines, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is a nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions reduction technique used in petrol/gasoline and diesel engines. EGR works by recirculating a portion of an engine's exhaust gas back to the engine cylinders. Reducing the vehicle emissions. This constant recycling of gas causes carbon buildup on the manifold and other parts including the EGR which is often what causes it to fail and create faults.

Common symptoms of EGR issues are

  • Loss of power

  • Lower fuel consumption

  • Reduced throttle response

  • Limp Mode

At AHS we provide an ECU modification to disable EGR related dashlights and fault codes.
